If your nose is slightly crooked or there a small bump on your nose, these flaws may be able to be hidden without plastic surgery. There are non-surgical ways to change the shape of the nose that can be a great way to “try on” a nose job or avoid surgery altogether. At Back Bay Plastic Surgery, we offer liquid rhinoplasty as a non-invasive option to change your nose shape at our location in Boston, MA.
The nose plays a giant role in your appearance. Even a small inconsistency can draw attention due to the central position of the nose. Rhinoplasty can change almost any imperfection, but it does require a financial and time commitment to perform. A non-surgical nose job can give our patients a chance to see what their nose may look like without certain traits. We perform these nose shaping procedures using dermal filler and neuromodulator injections.
Liquid rhinoplasty can be performed in a short office visit. Dermal fillers can be used to reshape the nose by adding volume in certain places on the nose. Common issues fixed with fillers include smoothing bumps on the bridge or hiding flared nostrils. Neuromodulators like Botox® can be used to relax the muscles attached to the nasal tip, which can lift the tip of a droopy or hooked nose. The results of the procedure can last from 3-4 months to over a year, depending on the products used.
Types of Non-Surgical Nose Jobs
Not all nose shapes can be altered with liquid rhinoplasty. If the nose is too large, either a big dorsal hump or wide alar base, cosmetic injections will not change that fact. Non-surgical nose reshaping can only be performed if adding filler can hide a flaw or Botox can change the position. Issues that may be able to be changed with a non-surgical nose job include:
- Flat or depressed bridge
- Large or flared nostrils
- Bumps on the bridge
- Narrow nasal tip
- Crooked nose
- Saddle nose (mild)
